FAA headquarters and east region operations branch (aea-530) have advised controllers at every (newark tower) that separation is not required for VFR aircraft operating in the new york enhanced class bravo airspace. They only need to obtain a discrete beacon code and establish 2-WAY communication with ATC.

Narrative: FAA HEADQUARTERS AND E REGION OPS BRANCH (AEA-530) HAVE ADVISED CTLRS AT EVERY (NEWARK TWR) THAT SEPARATION IS NOT REQUIRED FOR VFR ACFT OPERATING IN THE NEW YORK ENHANCED CLASS BRAVO AIRSPACE. THEY ONLY NEED TO OBTAIN A DISCRETE BEACON CODE AND ESTABLISH 2-WAY COM WITH ATC.
