Narrative:

WX was in the area. Air carrier X was level at 8000 ft. Air carrier Y was level at 9000 ft requesting lower. I descended Y to 4000 ft forgetting about X. Conflict alert went off and I expedited Y through 7000 ft and turned him to a 030 degree heading. X was turned to a 170 degree heading. Y reported leaving 7000 ft and I cleared both aircraft on course. The sector was getting busy. I should have had an extra set of eyes watching the problem. I also should have double checked before descending Y.
