Narrative:
On takeoff roll air leak developed along rear of captain's sliding window. Continued takeoff climb and level off to assess the problem. Noise level precluded proper communication. It was not possible to close the window. Made an overweight landing at lax at 410000 pounds. Landing was smooth with a sink rate of 100 FPM. Returned to the gate.
