Narrative:
Cpr X received IFR clearance and taxi clearance for departure from fll to fxe. Proceeded from ramp area of FBO to the active taxiway. The ramp sloped uphill as it emptied onto the taxiway. Both the first officer and I checked for traffic as we approached the 'T.' we saw no other traffic. The aircraft had slowed but not stopped as we entered the taxiway in a right turn. Suddenly a cessna 210 seemed to appear from nowhere from left to right -- just missing our radome by inches. The cessna 210 was traveling at a high rate of speed -- at least 30 mph. Immediately both pilots applied maximum brakes. The pilot of the cessna 210 continued taxiing and was gone as fast as he came. He called ground to complain and was told that it was their mistake. The ground controller, stated that she thought we were at a different FBO that was located across the field when she gave us our taxi clearance. She then went on to apologize to me twice. I acknowledged and nothing else was said.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: CPR X NEAR GND COLLISION WITH TAXIING CESSNA 210. SEE AND AVOID CONCEPT.
Narrative: CPR X RECEIVED IFR CLRNC AND TAXI CLRNC FOR DEP FROM FLL TO FXE. PROCEEDED FROM RAMP AREA OF FBO TO THE ACTIVE TXWY. THE RAMP SLOPED UPHILL AS IT EMPTIED ONTO THE TXWY. BOTH THE FO AND I CHKED FOR TFC AS WE APCHED THE 'T.' WE SAW NO OTHER TFC. THE ACFT HAD SLOWED BUT NOT STOPPED AS WE ENTERED THE TXWY IN A R TURN. SUDDENLY A CESSNA 210 SEEMED TO APPEAR FROM NOWHERE FROM L TO R -- JUST MISSING OUR RADOME BY INCHES. THE CESSNA 210 WAS TRAVELING AT A HIGH RATE OF SPD -- AT LEAST 30 MPH. IMMEDIATELY BOTH PLTS APPLIED MAX BRAKES. THE PLT OF THE CESSNA 210 CONTINUED TAXIING AND WAS GONE AS FAST AS HE CAME. HE CALLED GND TO COMPLAIN AND WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS THEIR MISTAKE. THE GND CTLR, STATED THAT SHE THOUGHT WE WERE AT A DIFFERENT FBO THAT WAS LOCATED ACROSS THE FIELD WHEN SHE GAVE US OUR TAXI CLRNC. SHE THEN WENT ON TO APOLOGIZE TO ME TWICE. I ACKNOWLEDGED AND NOTHING ELSE WAS SAID.
