Narrative:

Departed ads XJ10 pm for local flight. Upon return to ads the engine seized, the propeller would not windmill. There was no prior indication of engine problem. Everything was ok during engine runup before takeoff. Attempted restart while initiating an emergency landing, choosing the spot most suitable for landing. Just before touchdown, the plane's wing struck a tree. No one was hurt!

Title: PLT OF SMA SEL MADE AN OFF ARPT FORCED LNDG DUE TO ENG FAILURE.

Narrative: DEPARTED ADS XJ10 PM FOR LCL FLT. UPON RETURN TO ADS THE ENG SEIZED, THE PROP WOULD NOT WINDMILL. THERE WAS NO PRIOR INDICATION OF ENG PROB. EVERYTHING WAS OK DURING ENG RUNUP BEFORE TKOF. ATTEMPTED RESTART WHILE INITIATING AN EMER LNDG, CHOOSING THE SPOT MOST SUITABLE FOR LNDG. JUST BEFORE TOUCHDOWN, THE PLANE'S WING STRUCK A TREE. NO ONE WAS HURT!
