Narrative:
I was cleared to hold short of A20 taxiway on a taxiway facing south at ord. One S-80 was ahead of me and a xy 727 was holding behind me. We were waiting to enter the alleyway between concourses K and left. After the departing traffic had cleared, ramp control cleared the S-80 to his gate. I was cleared to follow the S-80 to my gate and xy was cleared to follow me to his gate, which xy read back to the controller we'll follow the fokker in. I followed the S-80 on the yellow line after he started moving. Just as I was established on the yellow line in the alley the Y 727 gunned his engines and in a burst of speed that I have never seen in a ramp area before, passed me on the right in between me and a 757 parked on. I had to slow and swerve to the left to avoid hitting the 727 as he sped by me on his way to his gate. My first officer questioned ramp control as to what xy was doing and the controller responded I thought he was going to follow you to the gate. I responded that I thought he was supposed to do this also. Xy was silent and continued to speed to his gate. After gate arrival I proceeded to the left concourse and confronted the xy captain just as he was exiting through security. I asked him why he cut in front of me when he read back that he was to follow me to the gate. He said that he did not cut me off and that there were 2 yellow lines and plenty of room. That is a lie because there is only 1 line.

Narrative: I WAS CLRED TO HOLD SHORT OF A20 TXWY ON A TXWY FACING S AT ORD. ONE S-80 WAS AHEAD OF ME AND A XY 727 WAS HOLDING BEHIND ME. WE WERE WAITING TO ENTER THE ALLEYWAY BTWN CONCOURSES K AND L. AFTER THE DEPARTING TFC HAD CLRED, RAMP CTL CLRED THE S-80 TO HIS GATE. I WAS CLRED TO FOLLOW THE S-80 TO MY GATE AND XY WAS CLRED TO FOLLOW ME TO HIS GATE, WHICH XY READ BACK TO THE CTLR WE'LL FOLLOW THE FOKKER IN. I FOLLOWED THE S-80 ON THE YELLOW LINE AFTER HE STARTED MOVING. JUST AS I WAS ESTABLISHED ON THE YELLOW LINE IN THE ALLEY THE Y 727 GUNNED HIS ENGS AND IN A BURST OF SPD THAT I HAVE NEVER SEEN IN A RAMP AREA BEFORE, PASSED ME ON THE R IN BTWN ME AND A 757 PARKED ON. I HAD TO SLOW AND SWERVE TO THE L TO AVOID HITTING THE 727 AS HE SPED BY ME ON HIS WAY TO HIS GATE. I ASKED HIM WHY HE CUT IN FRONT OF ME WHEN HE READ BACK THAT HE WAS TO FOLLOW ME TO THE GATE. HE SAID THAT HE DID NOT CUT ME OFF AND THAT THERE WERE 2 YELLOW LINES AND PLENTY OF ROOM. THAT IS A LIE BECAUSE THERE IS ONLY 1 LINE.
