Narrative:

While en route from cle to ewr observed #1 engine oil decreasing. All engine gauges indicated normal. At about 1 gallons of engine oil on gauge, reduced thrust to idle on #1 engine. This slowed the loss of engine oil considerably and was able to continue with flight. Again all gauges indicated normal in both pressure and temperature. Called maintenance control and advised them and they said as long as there was pressure and temperature. Was normal to continue. Flight continued and landed without further problem.
