Narrative:
Takeoff aborted at approximately 100 KIAS/75 KTS GS due to oil loss indication on #2 engine! Oil quantity dropped from 10 gallons to 8 gallons to 5 1/2 gallons during roll. Uneventful abort. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporting captain says that there was a loss of oil due to a part having been installed improperly. Coincidentally, the aircraft was met at the gate by an FAA maintenance inspector. There has been no further contact with the FAA.

Title: MEDIUM SPD TKOF ABORT.
Narrative: TKOF ABORTED AT APPROX 100 KIAS/75 KTS GS DUE TO OIL LOSS INDICATION ON #2 ENG! OIL QUANTITY DROPPED FROM 10 GALLONS TO 8 GALLONS TO 5 1/2 GALLONS DURING ROLL. UNEVENTFUL ABORT. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTING CAPT SAYS THAT THERE WAS A LOSS OF OIL DUE TO A PART HAVING BEEN INSTALLED IMPROPERLY. COINCIDENTALLY, THE ACFT WAS MET AT THE GATE BY AN FAA MAINT INSPECTOR. THERE HAS BEEN NO FURTHER CONTACT WITH THE FAA.
