Narrative:
Departed columbia, mo, for stl, mo, with 932 pounds fuel vice 1150 pounds as required by company dispatch. Flight was under part 135 with visual conditions at both departure airport and destination. Followed company checklists and procedures but did not catch lack of minimum fuel till doing after takeoff checklist. Although fuel burn to st louis was only 400 pounds, felt it was best to return to cou to fuel aircraft to level required by dispatch release.

Title: PLT DEPARTED WITHOUT REQUIRED DISPATCH FUEL AND RETURNED TO ARPT FOR FUEL.
Narrative: DEPARTED COLUMBIA, MO, FOR STL, MO, WITH 932 LBS FUEL VICE 1150 LBS AS REQUIRED BY COMPANY DISPATCH. FLT WAS UNDER PART 135 WITH VISUAL CONDITIONS AT BOTH DEP ARPT AND DEST. FOLLOWED COMPANY CHKLISTS AND PROCS BUT DID NOT CATCH LACK OF MINIMUM FUEL TILL DOING AFTER TKOF CHKLIST.
