Narrative:
Taxiing out for takeoff in macon, GA, I called the tower and said we were ready for takeoff. The tower then cleared us into position and hold for runway 5. Well, we got onto the end of the runway and began a takeoff roll. We got down the runway about 700 ft and the tower told us that we were not cleared to takeoff. We immediately aborted the takeoff. I asked the tower if there was any problem and they said no. I think fatigue had a lot to do with this, it was the last leg of a long 2 day trip. I need to be more aware of our clearance even when I am tired. In the future I will say out loud what our clearance is after I have read the clearance back to ATC.
