Narrative:

Air carrier X (bae 3200) I was flying landed at lax on runway 24R. While rolling out, the tower advised us to hold short of runway 24L. I taxied clear of runway 24R on the reverse high speed and stopped at the hold line. Tower then instructed us to cross runway 24L. As I started to taxi, I looked to my left and noticed an aircraft on short final for runway 24L. I told my first officer to tell tower we would hold short of runway 24L. This he did. Immediately after he transmitted, the aircraft Y on short final transmitted to tower that he was going around. My aircraft did not encroach onto runway 24L, nor did the tower instruct the landing aircraft to go around. After the twin commuter was past us on his go around, the tower then instructed us to continue across runway 24L and to contact ground control. I talked via telephone with a tower representative a short time after this incident. His explanation was that we were given adequate time to cross runway 24L in front of the landing aircraft. I disagreed and told him I did not feel it was a safe situation.

Title: ACR X NON ADHERENCE TO ATC CLRNC FAILED TO CROSS RWY ACR Y EXECUTED GAR.

Narrative: ACR X (BAE 3200) I WAS FLYING LANDED AT LAX ON RWY 24R. WHILE ROLLING OUT, THE TWR ADVISED US TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 24L. I TAXIED CLR OF RWY 24R ON THE REVERSE HIGH SPD AND STOPPED AT THE HOLD LINE. TWR THEN INSTRUCTED US TO CROSS RWY 24L. AS I STARTED TO TAXI, I LOOKED TO MY L AND NOTICED AN ACFT ON SHORT FINAL FOR RWY 24L. I TOLD MY FO TO TELL TWR WE WOULD HOLD SHORT OF RWY 24L. THIS HE DID. IMMEDIATELY AFTER HE XMITTED, THE ACFT Y ON SHORT FINAL XMITTED TO TWR THAT HE WAS GOING AROUND. MY ACFT DID NOT ENCROACH ONTO RWY 24L, NOR DID THE TWR INSTRUCT THE LNDG ACFT TO GAR. AFTER THE TWIN COMMUTER WAS PAST US ON HIS GAR, THE TWR THEN INSTRUCTED US TO CONTINUE ACROSS RWY 24L AND TO CONTACT GND CTL. I TALKED VIA TELEPHONE WITH A TWR REPRESENTATIVE A SHORT TIME AFTER THIS INCIDENT. HIS EXPLANATION WAS THAT WE WERE GIVEN ADEQUATE TIME TO CROSS RWY 24L IN FRONT OF THE LNDG ACFT. I DISAGREED AND TOLD HIM I DID NOT FEEL IT WAS A SAFE SIT.
