Narrative:
On approach to runway 13R at dfw descending through 4000 ft with clearance to 2500 ft, was instructed to intercept runway 13R localizer. Shortly thereafter approach control advised of traffic 12 O'clock, 4 mi, swbound. Intercept localizer and you will pass behind him 'approximately 15-20 seconds. Later received TA on TCASII followed by RA to climb. Immediately executed climb and passed directly over traffic 500 ft higher. Had it not been for the TCASII, I believe we would have come much closer.
