Narrative:

On nov/sun/94, on ILS approach to 10L at pit, the senior flight attendant reported a fire in the cabin. A second report specified smoke reported in aft cabin and activation of the aft lavatory smoke detector. I declared an emergency and landed in pit. During the approach, we had an annunciation of an 'ice protection supply temperature high' light. After the wing ice protection was shut down, the fumes in the cabin disappeared. After an inspection of the exterior of the aircraft by airport crash fire rescue vehicles, I taxied to the gate and deplaned the passenger. An inspection of the interior and tail section of the aircraft resulted in no indication of any fire. I made a maintenance logbook write-up and discussed the problem with company personnel.
