Narrative:
VOR runway 27 approach circle runway 20 briefed. WX conditions were workable but extremely marginal. During the circle, we arced around past runway 20 and landed on runway 09 instead. Normal touchdown, braking, and rollout. Uneventful landing. Runway 09/27 was open as primary runway for GA and commuter aircraft, but was closed to airlines due to a displaced threshold. Supplemental information from acn 289944: we visually arced the airport environment too far, past runway 20, and unintentionally landed runway 09. The runway numbers were obscured with snowpack. Did not realize we had landed runway 09 until rollout. The touchdown, braking and rollout were normal. Runway 9/27 at nome was in use at the time (no traffic). Runway 9/27 was closed for xx airlines operations due to a displaced threshold.
