Narrative:

While taxiing out for a training flight we experienced a failure in the right brake, the brakes had been checked prior to taxi. The failure caused the aircraft to veer off to the left of the runway. The instructor shut off both engines and the aircraft came to a stop prior to going over a berm. Maintenance confirmed it was a brake failure. Some damage was caused to a propeller, a ding, which was filed out by maintenance this incident illustrates the importance of taxiing at all times as though a brake failure. Any more speed and the aircraft may have gone over the berm causing substantial damage to the aircraft.
