Narrative:
Shortly after leveling aircraft's #2 engine had slight torque rollback. Approximately 3 min later engine had severe torque rollback -- engine recovered then repeated. We diverted back to dfw -- engine ran normally during approach and landing phase -- we intended to only do a precautionary landing. Approach control declared emergency and equipment was standing by. All checklists were completed normally and we briefed emergency procedures should they become necessary.
