Narrative:
I was under the hood preparing to execute a course reversal during an ILS runway 2 approach to columbia, mo. A metropolitan aircraft operated by air carrier was approaching from the south and it was instructed by tower to remain clear of us. I raised my head a moment later to locate them and saw them pass fairly close and slightly lower to our west. I turned to enhance our separation. I believe that the other crew failed to properly observe or estimate our separation and I will take greater precautions in the future when advised of closing traffic.

Narrative: I WAS UNDER THE HOOD PREPARING TO EXECUTE A COURSE REVERSAL DURING AN ILS RWY 2 APCH TO COLUMBIA, MO. A METRO ACFT OPERATED BY ACR WAS APCHING FROM THE S AND IT WAS INSTRUCTED BY TWR TO REMAIN CLR OF US. I RAISED MY HEAD A MOMENT LATER TO LOCATE THEM AND SAW THEM PASS FAIRLY CLOSE AND SLIGHTLY LOWER TO OUR W. I TURNED TO ENHANCE OUR SEPARATION. I BELIEVE THAT THE OTHER CREW FAILED TO PROPERLY OBSERVE OR ESTIMATE OUR SEPARATION AND I WILL TAKE GREATER PRECAUTIONS IN THE FUTURE WHEN ADVISED OF CLOSING TFC.
