Narrative:
The PNF received departure clearance before our passenger arrived and unknown to the both of us he misunderstood the SID which was issued. Since this airport sits in mountainous terrain, we discussed this departure before the passenger arrived and once again during taxi. Unfortunately, all this preparation was for the wrong SID. The correct SID called for runway heading with a climb to 4000 ft. Our incorrect SID called for a climbing right turn to 4000 ft and direct to the psp VOR. After takeoff, while in the climbing right turn, we saw a single engine cessna at our 10 O'clock position at a slightly higher altitude. At this time the controller told us to make an immediate left turn to tuck us in behind the cessna. Our TCASII system also issued us a TA at this time. We had visual contact with this traffic at all times so our evasive maneuver was minor in extent. In the future, both pilots will listen while the clearance is being issued to provide a way of double checking the pilot copying these important instructions.

Title: CONFLICT LESS SEVERE.
Narrative: THE PNF RECEIVED DEP CLRNC BEFORE OUR PAX ARRIVED AND UNKNOWN TO THE BOTH OF US HE MISUNDERSTOOD THE SID WHICH WAS ISSUED. SINCE THIS ARPT SITS IN MOUNTAINOUS TERRAIN, WE DISCUSSED THIS DEP BEFORE THE PAX ARRIVED AND ONCE AGAIN DURING TAXI. UNFORTUNATELY, ALL THIS PREPARATION WAS FOR THE WRONG SID. THE CORRECT SID CALLED FOR RWY HDG WITH A CLB TO 4000 FT. OUR INCORRECT SID CALLED FOR A CLBING R TURN TO 4000 FT AND DIRECT TO THE PSP VOR. AFTER TKOF, WHILE IN THE CLBING R TURN, WE SAW A SINGLE ENG CESSNA AT OUR 10 O'CLOCK POS AT A SLIGHTLY HIGHER ALT. AT THIS TIME THE CTLR TOLD US TO MAKE AN IMMEDIATE L TURN TO TUCK US IN BEHIND THE CESSNA. OUR TCASII SYS ALSO ISSUED US A TA AT THIS TIME. WE HAD VISUAL CONTACT WITH THIS TFC AT ALL TIMES SO OUR EVASIVE MANEUVER WAS MINOR IN EXTENT. IN THE FUTURE, BOTH PLTS WILL LISTEN WHILE THE CLRNC IS BEING ISSUED TO PROVIDE A WAY OF DOUBLE CHKING THE PLT COPYING THESE IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS.
