Narrative:
On landing runway 26 at iah, we had decelerated to the point that we could either use high speed taxiway or reverse high speed taxiway. Taxiway led right to our ramp, but I thought there might be a prohibition from doing this. I thought I had seen the prohibition before from a previous (probably a yr ago) flight but I was not sure. I quickly looked at 70-8Y and there. I also quickly looked at the commercial publication airport pages and did not see it there. So I took taxiway directly to the ramp. On gate arrival I finally found the note on 70-9 in the upper left corner printed vertically. It was not the easiest note to find, but I should have followed my instincts, asked the tower, or at least studied all the small print prior to landing. Next time.
