Narrative:

ATC told us to hold at ruane intersection as depicted and we stated there was no holding pattern depicted on the westminster 2 arrival. He then said to hold at ruane, 20 mi legs, right turns. He did not say to hold east or west. We apparently held on the other side he wanted.
