Narrative:
The FAA contract tower failed to notify center of ATIS change. (Center serves as approach for this tower). This is not the first occurrence of the tower forgetting to update the ATIS. On several occasions, the tower reported they were 'too busy' to complete the ATIS. (One must wonder what the staffing was at the time.

Title: FAA CONTRACT TWR FAILED TO INFORM ARTCC OF NEW WX AND ATIS INFO.
Narrative: THE FAA CONTRACT TWR FAILED TO NOTIFY CTR OF ATIS CHANGE. (CTR SERVES AS APCH FOR THIS TWR). THIS IS NOT THE FIRST OCCURRENCE OF THE TWR FORGETTING TO UPDATE THE ATIS. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, THE TWR RPTED THEY WERE 'TOO BUSY' TO COMPLETE THE ATIS. (ONE MUST WONDER WHAT THE STAFFING WAS AT THE TIME.
