Narrative:
While conducting a sea otter survey for the california department of fish and game, I inadvertently flew across the ADIZ into warning area W285-a. I had not originally planned on going very far offshore so when I was asked to go farther west, I didn't think about the ADIZ. To remedy this situation I have asked our chief pilot to consider more training in how to work near and in the ADIZ zone.
