Narrative:

I found the automated voice system callout of the 50, 30, 10 ft altitudes very distracting. Since the pilot not landing is still calling out altitudes at 10 ft increments, there are sometimes 2 callouts for the same altitude and then a very loud call for the others. This would be an okay system if the callouts were every 10 ft, just as we have been accustomed to the last 20 yrs. If this is how it is going to be in the future, change the flight operations manual procedure to match the new technology as soon as possible.
