Narrative:

I am submitting this report for information only. I was first officer of cpr X, a gulfstream G-2, on a flight from phx-pbi. Cpr X, climbing out of phx, we were issued FL290 and now direct to ewm VOR. ATC then issued new instruction 'maintain FL270 expect FL290 in approximately 2 mins, you have traffic at 12-1 O'clock.' I acknowledged. We leveled at FL270. An air carrier Y flight passed us wbound at FL280. The controller asked our altitude. I told him FL270. The separation looked close but we continued without incident to our destination.
