Narrative:
Test flying a navajo out of maintenance with owner. Approaching to land, tower asked if we had a preference of runways. We requested runway 9L and was given runway 13 with the tower's effort to give us runway 9L -- the main jet runway but much closer to our parking area. On base to runway 13, tower asked if we had traffic in sight and to follow same traffic to runway 9L. We landed behind traffic without incident. Tower told us afterward that our landing runway was runway 13. It sounded like a different controller than the one we had airborne. Maybe the runway change given by the first controller was not relayed to the relieving controller.

Title: PLT OF AN ATX SMT LANDED ON THE WRONG RWY DUE TO RWY CLRNC CONFUSION.
Narrative: TEST FLYING A NAVAJO OUT OF MAINT WITH OWNER. APCHING TO LAND, TWR ASKED IF WE HAD A PREFERENCE OF RWYS. WE REQUESTED RWY 9L AND WAS GIVEN RWY 13 WITH THE TWR'S EFFORT TO GIVE US RWY 9L -- THE MAIN JET RWY BUT MUCH CLOSER TO OUR PARKING AREA. ON BASE TO RWY 13, TWR ASKED IF WE HAD TFC IN SIGHT AND TO FOLLOW SAME TFC TO RWY 9L. WE LANDED BEHIND TFC WITHOUT INCIDENT. TWR TOLD US AFTERWARD THAT OUR LNDG RWY WAS RWY 13. IT SOUNDED LIKE A DIFFERENT CTLR THAN THE ONE WE HAD AIRBORNE. MAYBE THE RWY CHANGE GIVEN BY THE FIRST CTLR WAS NOT RELAYED TO THE RELIEVING CTLR.
