Narrative:
Company boeing 737-300 arrived in cleveland on jan/xx/95 with logbook write-up that a CAT ii approach was made on autoplt 'a' and was successful. Aircraft was upgraded to CAT ii, and annuciator, on captain's side, turned over to CAT ii status, and placard removed. Procedures were complied with, except my CAT ii status expired in my training records without being updated. I believe, if a more accessible way of reviewing my training due dates on certain aircraft equipment was in a visible area (such as management posting training records in workshop), and updated every 2 months -- rather than the current system in place, my actions may have been prevented. This suggestion may also prevent mechanics in the future, from making the same mistake. Aircraft was dispatched without incident and noncompliance, on my part, was discovered by company qa as per supervisor.
