Narrative:
This incident did not occur during a flight. I was involved in an alcohol related incident - not a dui - and I'm not sure if the FAA will be informed. So to protect myself, I am filling out this form. On a feb/sat/95, I was at the bar at the parachute center where I am a jump pilot. The property is pvtly owned and the bar serves beer to the club members and locals. I received 2 citations, 1 for possessing alcohol and 1 for serving beer to a local jumper who was acting undercover for the county police. I have not been convicted, nor arrested. My court date is apr/tue/95. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter was employed as a pilot for jumpers by the local parachute center. In the course of her duties she served beer at the center's bar when she was off duty as a pilot. One of her customers turned out to be an undercover policeman posing as a jumper. She has not been charged, but the problem seems to be that, known to her, the bar was unlicensed. The primary effort by the local authority/authorized is directed at the owner not the employees. In this case there does not appear to be a violation of FARS, except perhaps judgement. She assures this analyst that she did not work the bar until she was off duty as a pilot and did not drink or handle alcohol in violation of far restrs.

Title: NO ABNORMALITY SEEMS TO HAVE OCCURRED.
Narrative: THIS INCIDENT DID NOT OCCUR DURING A FLT. I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ALCOHOL RELATED INCIDENT - NOT A DUI - AND I'M NOT SURE IF THE FAA WILL BE INFORMED. SO TO PROTECT MYSELF, I AM FILLING OUT THIS FORM. ON A FEB/SAT/95, I WAS AT THE BAR AT THE PARACHUTE CTR WHERE I AM A JUMP PLT. THE PROPERTY IS PVTLY OWNED AND THE BAR SERVES BEER TO THE CLUB MEMBERS AND LOCALS. I RECEIVED 2 CITATIONS, 1 FOR POSSESSING ALCOHOL AND 1 FOR SERVING BEER TO A LCL JUMPER WHO WAS ACTING UNDERCOVER FOR THE COUNTY POLICE. I HAVE NOT BEEN CONVICTED, NOR ARRESTED. MY COURT DATE IS APR/TUE/95. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: THE RPTR WAS EMPLOYED AS A PLT FOR JUMPERS BY THE LCL PARACHUTE CTR. IN THE COURSE OF HER DUTIES SHE SERVED BEER AT THE CTR'S BAR WHEN SHE WAS OFF DUTY AS A PLT. ONE OF HER CUSTOMERS TURNED OUT TO BE AN UNDERCOVER POLICEMAN POSING AS A JUMPER. SHE HAS NOT BEEN CHARGED, BUT THE PROB SEEMS TO BE THAT, KNOWN TO HER, THE BAR WAS UNLICENSED. THE PRIMARY EFFORT BY THE LCL AUTH IS DIRECTED AT THE OWNER NOT THE EMPLOYEES. IN THIS CASE THERE DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE A VIOLATION OF FARS, EXCEPT PERHAPS JUDGEMENT. SHE ASSURES THIS ANALYST THAT SHE DID NOT WORK THE BAR UNTIL SHE WAS OFF DUTY AS A PLT AND DID NOT DRINK OR HANDLE ALCOHOL IN VIOLATION OF FAR RESTRS.
