Narrative:
We selected gear down. Both main gear showed green. No nose gear light. We were far enough out on final to recycle the gear. The second attempt showed 3 green lights. We continued to a low approach and asked tower to visually confirm gear down. We then made right traffic and returned for landing. We reviewed the QRH and called for the fire trucks. After landing we then pinned the nose gear down and proceeded to the gate, with no further complications. I called maintenance. They told me to ferry the aircraft to lyh from syr with the gear down. Before leaving, mr X from the FAA talked to me. I answered all of his questions.
