Narrative:
While level at 10000 ft cos approach mentioned VFR traffic at 12 O'clock 2 mi at 9500 ft. We acknowledged and approximately 5 seconds later got a TCASII RA to climb. An immediate climb was made to 12000 ft and a call to ATC initiated indicating the climb. When clear of conflict we descended to 10000 ft and resumed the approach.

Title: TCASII RA WITH OPPOSITE DIRECTION TFC. FLC RESPONSE IS TO PERFORM EVASIVE ACTION CLB. ALT CHANGE PERHAPS EXCESSIVE, INDICATING OVERSHOOTING PARAMETERS AS INDICATED BY TCASII RA DISPLAY ANNUNCIATOR.
Narrative: WHILE LEVEL AT 10000 FT COS APCH MENTIONED VFR TFC AT 12 O'CLOCK 2 MI AT 9500 FT. WE ACKNOWLEDGED AND APPROX 5 SECONDS LATER GOT A TCASII RA TO CLB.
