Narrative:

Prior to departure the agent asked if we could accommodate any additional passenger. I called the load agent and related that we presently had 121 on board - per his prior authority/authorized. He told me we could go to 124 and 3 additional passenger were boarded. After departure dispatch requested a head count. It was determined that 126 passenger were on board - resulting in a takeoff weight that was over the mtow of 149.5. Our load closeout showed 124 passenger and a takeoff weight of 149397 pounds.

Title: ACFT GROSS WT - ACR CREW TOOK OFF OVER THE GROSS WT LIMIT.

Narrative: PRIOR TO DEP THE AGENT ASKED IF WE COULD ACCOMMODATE ANY ADDITIONAL PAX. I CALLED THE LOAD AGENT AND RELATED THAT WE PRESENTLY HAD 121 ON BOARD - PER HIS PRIOR AUTH.
