Narrative:
3 mins prior to departure of air carrier flight xx from laguardia airport, an FAA inspector walked into the cockpit while we, the crew, were performing briefings and cockpit checklists. He informed us that he would be riding as an additional crew member and asked to see our medical certificates and pilots licenses. We were very busy as laguardia was in the midst of runway and departure procedure changes. All weight and balance computations were completed prior to boarding. During taxi to the active runway we had an EFIS computer discrepancy which further enhanced the workload. Prior to leaving the gate, during the before taxi checklist the sterile cockpit light was illuminated, however the aci saw fit to ignore such and enlighten us with his ATP and widebody transport type rating as well as his general aeronautical experience, disrupting normal cockpit procedures and routine. We feel that the discrepancy on the weight and balance, being the absence of including the acm would have been avoided had he given ample time before departure, not 3 minutes prior to taxi. Also had he not ignored the sterile cockpit light with numerous interruptions, normal cockpit procedures would have been executed in an orderly and precise manner. Upon arrival to hyannis, ma, he asked why he was not included in the weight and balance computation saying that he noticed this discrepancy halfway through the flight. We feel that if he was aware of such a discrepancy it was his duty to inform us immediately so a correction could have been made in order to insure a safe approach and landing. He did not see fir to inform us and told us after the flight.

Title: AIR CARRIER INSPECTOR NOT ADDED TO ACFT WEIGHT AND BALANCE MANIFEST.
Narrative: 3 MINS PRIOR TO DEP OF ACR FLT XX FROM LAGUARDIA ARPT, AN FAA INSPECTOR WALKED INTO THE COCKPIT WHILE WE, THE CREW, WERE PERFORMING BRIEFINGS AND COCKPIT CHECKLISTS. HE INFORMED US THAT HE WOULD BE RIDING AS AN ADDITIONAL CREW MEMBER AND ASKED TO SEE OUR MEDICAL CERTIFICATES AND PLTS LICENSES. WE WERE VERY BUSY AS LAGUARDIA WAS IN THE MIDST OF RWY AND DEP PROC CHANGES. ALL WEIGHT AND BALANCE COMPUTATIONS WERE COMPLETED PRIOR TO BOARDING. DURING TAXI TO THE ACTIVE RWY WE HAD AN EFIS COMPUTER DISCREPANCY WHICH FURTHER ENHANCED THE WORKLOAD. PRIOR TO LEAVING THE GATE, DURING THE BEFORE TAXI CHECKLIST THE STERILE COCKPIT LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED, HOWEVER THE ACI SAW FIT TO IGNORE SUCH AND ENLIGHTEN US WITH HIS ATP AND WDB TYPE RATING AS WELL AS HIS GENERAL AERONAUTICAL EXPERIENCE, DISRUPTING NORMAL COCKPIT PROCS AND ROUTINE. WE FEEL THAT THE DISCREPANCY ON THE WEIGHT AND BALANCE, BEING THE ABSENCE OF INCLUDING THE ACM WOULD HAVE BEEN AVOIDED HAD HE GIVEN AMPLE TIME BEFORE DEP, NOT 3 MINUTES PRIOR TO TAXI. ALSO HAD HE NOT IGNORED THE STERILE COCKPIT LIGHT WITH NUMEROUS INTERRUPTIONS, NORMAL COCKPIT PROCS WOULD HAVE BEEN EXECUTED IN AN ORDERLY AND PRECISE MANNER. UPON ARRIVAL TO HYANNIS, MA, HE ASKED WHY HE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE WEIGHT AND BALANCE COMPUTATION SAYING THAT HE NOTICED THIS DISCREPANCY HALFWAY THROUGH THE FLT. WE FEEL THAT IF HE WAS AWARE OF SUCH A DISCREPANCY IT WAS HIS DUTY TO INFORM US IMMEDIATELY SO A CORRECTION COULD HAVE BEEN MADE IN ORDER TO INSURE A SAFE APCH AND LNDG. HE DID NOT SEE FIR TO INFORM US AND TOLD US AFTER THE FLT.
