Narrative:
While on the ground at bos, and during the preflight phase, an FAA inspector came onboard to ramp check us and wanted to do a 'walkaround' preflight. During his 'walkaround' he found a small amount of fuel seeping from around an inspection plate, under the wing, which ended up grounding the aircraft. It was very difficult to see, for he found it by 'running' his finger under the wing.
