Narrative:
We were running late for our departure slot time. The captain was in a hurry and rushed through checklists prior to takeoff because he thought that we would miss our departure slot. We were taxiing behind another aircraft. The tower asked us if we could takeoff from the first intersection from the runway threshold. We said that we could, and the aircraft ahead of us taxied to the end of the runway. We taxied to the stop bar lights and stopped. The tower cleared us for takeoff, ahead of the aircraft at the end of the runway, which was cleared into position and hold. The stop bar lights were red. The tower cleared us for takeoff. The captain taxied into position and took off against my strongest recommendations. We are not to cross the stop bar with the lights red, until in contact with the tower and the conflict is resolved. Our company published an information memo dated apr/94. The memo states that, should this exact situation occur, we should not cross the stop bar red lights until the conflict is corrected.

Title: THE CAPT OF A LARGE TRANSPORT FREIGHTER TAXIED PAST THE RED STOP BAR LIGHTS, AT A FOREIGN ARPT, AFTER RECEIVING A TKOF CLRNC.
Narrative: WE WERE RUNNING LATE FOR OUR DEP SLOT TIME. THE CAPT WAS IN A HURRY AND RUSHED THROUGH CHKLISTS PRIOR TO TKOF BECAUSE HE THOUGHT THAT WE WOULD MISS OUR DEP SLOT. WE WERE TAXIING BEHIND ANOTHER ACFT. THE TWR ASKED US IF WE COULD TKOF FROM THE FIRST INTXN FROM THE RWY THRESHOLD. WE SAID THAT WE COULD, AND THE ACFT AHEAD OF US TAXIED TO THE END OF THE RWY. WE TAXIED TO THE STOP BAR LIGHTS AND STOPPED. THE TWR CLRED US FOR TKOF, AHEAD OF THE ACFT AT THE END OF THE RWY, WHICH WAS CLRED INTO POS AND HOLD. THE STOP BAR LIGHTS WERE RED. THE TWR CLRED US FOR TKOF. THE CAPT TAXIED INTO POS AND TOOK OFF AGAINST MY STRONGEST RECOMMENDATIONS. WE ARE NOT TO CROSS THE STOP BAR WITH THE LIGHTS RED, UNTIL IN CONTACT WITH THE TWR AND THE CONFLICT IS RESOLVED. OUR COMPANY PUBLISHED AN INFO MEMO DATED APR/94. THE MEMO STATES THAT, SHOULD THIS EXACT SIT OCCUR, WE SHOULD NOT CROSS THE STOP BAR RED LIGHTS UNTIL THE CONFLICT IS CORRECTED.
