Narrative:

After leveling off at FL240, I told the captain that I was leaving my flight station for physiological reasons. As I got to the cargo bay, my body got real light from a negative G load imposed on the aircraft. By the time I got to the flight deck and checked the altimeter we were 1500 ft above our assigned altitude and descending 2800 FPM. I climbed into the seat and asked the captain what happened. He said 'I guess the aircraft got off our altitude.' our autoplt had not been svcable for the last 3 days.

Title: A LOCKHEED HERCULES FREIGHT CARRIER DEVIATED FROM AN ASSIGNED ALT WHEN THE FO (PNF) LEFT THE COCKPIT FOR A BREAK.

Narrative: AFTER LEVELING OFF AT FL240, I TOLD THE CAPT THAT I WAS LEAVING MY FLT STATION FOR PHYSIOLOGICAL REASONS. AS I GOT TO THE CARGO BAY, MY BODY GOT REAL LIGHT FROM A NEGATIVE G LOAD IMPOSED ON THE ACFT. BY THE TIME I GOT TO THE FLT DECK AND CHKED THE ALTIMETER WE WERE 1500 FT ABOVE OUR ASSIGNED ALT AND DSNDING 2800 FPM. I CLBED INTO THE SEAT AND ASKED THE CAPT WHAT HAPPENED. HE SAID 'I GUESS THE ACFT GOT OFF OUR ALT.' OUR AUTOPLT HAD NOT BEEN SVCABLE FOR THE LAST 3 DAYS.
