Narrative:

Landed runway 26R atl. Clearing runway, tower gave taxi instruction and cleared us to cross runway 26L, contact ground. Just prior to crossing, first officer made call to company, saw aircraft taking position on runway 26L so continued on across runway 26L. I believe I was cleared to cross and other aircraft was cleared into position and hold. Counseled first officer not to leave tower frequency until runway crossing completed.
