Narrative:

Departed bna for mci. Cleared to climb to 13000 ft MSL on 320 degree heading. At approximately 7700 ft MSL, TCASII sounded TA and displayed target at 1 O'clock, 800 ft above. Located traffic visually at 1 O'clock, slightly high. Evasive action was taken at about the same time RA descend sounded. Aircraft was banked right to pass behind traffic, and immediate descent initiated. Ivsi displayed red arc from 3000 FPM climb to 2000 FPM descent. Green arc was from 2000 FPM descent to 2500 FPM descent. Aircraft was climbing at 3500-4000 FPM when RA sounded. TCASII sounded 'monitor vertical speed' after traffic passed. When clear of conflict, aircraft was promptly returned to 320 degree heading and normal climb.
