Narrative:
Wheel-well fire alarm went on. Crew executed appropriate checklist. As soon as the gear was down, the red light went out. Our destination was terre haute, in, 100 NM east of our position. Flight proceeded and landed uneventfully at huf. Postflt inspection revealed no damage, there was never any fire, just an indication. Probably just hot brakes. Afterwards, crew discussed whether we should have landed at st. Louis, 50 mi verses terre haute, 100 mi, which was our destination. We felt these reports were necessary since huf was not the nearest suitable airport.
