Narrative:

We briefed the SID at the gate, but were interrupted several times by maintenance agent with late passenger. ATC delay had entire SID setup in raw data, but on takeoff failed to make 2 small turns. Instead made 1 sharp right turn, possibly setting off noise alarm, although this was not mentioned by departure control. Flight continued to destination. Supplemental information from acn 301331: during our brief of the noise abatement procedure at paris orly, there was confusion in the cockpit due to agents and supervisors updating us on loading problems. In addition to these problems, the ILS head would not illuminate the frequency, so maintenance was also in the cockpit at last min. Because of this, the 4 mi stretch after the 2.5 mi mark was overlooked. Because of this oversight, and the mandatory use of raw data, we started our right turn a little early. Supplemental information from acn 301557: at 2.5 DME the captain, who was flying, started a right turn but instead of joining the ol R-086 he continued the turn believing it was now time to join the clm R-249. The controller then asked if we were flying the assigned departure. It was VFR and no separation problem existed though it is possible that we flew over noise sensitive areas. We also departed 20 mins late due to an ATC delay that may have caused key elements of the departure not to be as fresh as they could have been. It may have been best to conduct a short review of these key elements just prior to takeoff.

Title: HDG TRACK POS DEV DURING NOISE ABATEMENT PROC IN FOREIGN AIRSPACE.

Narrative: WE BRIEFED THE SID AT THE GATE, BUT WERE INTERRUPTED SEVERAL TIMES BY MAINT AGENT WITH LATE PAX. ATC DELAY HAD ENTIRE SID SETUP IN RAW DATA, BUT ON TKOF FAILED TO MAKE 2 SMALL TURNS. INSTEAD MADE 1 SHARP R TURN, POSSIBLY SETTING OFF NOISE ALARM, ALTHOUGH THIS WAS NOT MENTIONED BY DEP CTL. FLT CONTINUED TO DEST. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 301331: DURING OUR BRIEF OF THE NOISE ABATEMENT PROC AT PARIS ORLY, THERE WAS CONFUSION IN THE COCKPIT DUE TO AGENTS AND SUPVRS UPDATING US ON LOADING PROBS. IN ADDITION TO THESE PROBS, THE ILS HEAD WOULD NOT ILLUMINATE THE FREQ, SO MAINT WAS ALSO IN THE COCKPIT AT LAST MIN. BECAUSE OF THIS, THE 4 MI STRETCH AFTER THE 2.5 MI MARK WAS OVERLOOKED. BECAUSE OF THIS OVERSIGHT, AND THE MANDATORY USE OF RAW DATA, WE STARTED OUR R TURN A LITTLE EARLY. SUPPLEMENTAL INFO FROM ACN 301557: AT 2.5 DME THE CAPT, WHO WAS FLYING, STARTED A R TURN BUT INSTEAD OF JOINING THE OL R-086 HE CONTINUED THE TURN BELIEVING IT WAS NOW TIME TO JOIN THE CLM R-249. THE CTLR THEN ASKED IF WE WERE FLYING THE ASSIGNED DEP. IT WAS VFR AND NO SEPARATION PROB EXISTED THOUGH IT IS POSSIBLE THAT WE FLEW OVER NOISE SENSITIVE AREAS. WE ALSO DEPARTED 20 MINS LATE DUE TO AN ATC DELAY THAT MAY HAVE CAUSED KEY ELEMENTS OF THE DEP NOT TO BE AS FRESH AS THEY COULD HAVE BEEN. IT MAY HAVE BEEN BEST TO CONDUCT A SHORT REVIEW OF THESE KEY ELEMENTS JUST PRIOR TO TKOF.
