Narrative:
While parking at the gate we felt a small bump just prior to our planned stop. The first officer then noticed a baggage cart against our right wingtip. There was virtually no damage except to the erosion strip (tape) on the navigation light cover. There was a 1/4 inch crack in the navigation light cover. The ramp personnel didn't notice a thing until we brought it to their attention. Fortunately, there was no damage this time, but there have been approximately 8 incidents of ground damage this week.
