Narrative:
On descent into waco regional, the captain was the PF. We had just descended to 4000 ft MSL for a visual approach to act. We saw traffic on TCASII at 12 O'clock position and 3500 ft MSL and 3-5 mi. Once traffic entered the 2 mi ring TCASII issued a 'TA.' the traffic was level at 3500 ft. We did not have a visual on the traffic. Shortly later the TCASII issued a RA to 'climb.' the captain immediately initiated a climb. Approach control also issued us and the 3500 ft traffic (cessna 172) TA's. We climbed approximately 300 ft then visually saw the cessna 172 and began to return to 4000 ft. We had a total climb of plus 400 ft. TCASII issued a 'clear of traffic' advisory. The cessna passed off the left approximately 600 ft below our aircraft. The flight continued without further incident.

Title: POTENTIAL CONFLICT - ACR RECEIVES TCASII 'TA' AND 'RA' AND THEY EVADE A CESSNA AND CONTINUE THE APCH WITH MINIMAL DISRUPTION.
Narrative: ON DSCNT INTO WACO REGIONAL, THE CAPT WAS THE PF. WE HAD JUST DSNDED TO 4000 FT MSL FOR A VISUAL APCH TO ACT. WE SAW TFC ON TCASII AT 12 O'CLOCK POS AND 3500 FT MSL AND 3-5 MI. ONCE TFC ENTERED THE 2 MI RING TCASII ISSUED A 'TA.' THE TFC WAS LEVEL AT 3500 FT. WE DID NOT HAVE A VISUAL ON THE TFC. SHORTLY LATER THE TCASII ISSUED A RA TO 'CLB.' THE CAPT IMMEDIATELY INITIATED A CLB. APCH CTL ALSO ISSUED US AND THE 3500 FT TFC (CESSNA 172) TA'S. WE CLBED APPROX 300 FT THEN VISUALLY SAW THE CESSNA 172 AND BEGAN TO RETURN TO 4000 FT. WE HAD A TOTAL CLB OF PLUS 400 FT. TCASII ISSUED A 'CLR OF TFC' ADVISORY. THE CESSNA PASSED OFF THE L APPROX 600 FT BELOW OUR ACFT. THE FLT CONTINUED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.
