Narrative:
Tail skid EICAS message illuminated after touchdown at dfw when automatic spoilers deployed. Supplemental information from acn 301556: on the final approach of return trip to dfw captain and first officer were at the controls -- captain occupied the fob center jumpseat and I sat in the far left jumpseat. Up to and just prior to touchdown the flight had proceeded normally. In the flare of captain's landing I did notice an unusual bump in addition to the main gear touching down -- I suspect this was the tailskid in striking the pavement there was and EICAS tailskid message and upon postflt there appeared to be some paint scraped from the bottom of the tailskid itself.
