Narrative:
I requested permission to taxi. I heard taxi on taxiway. I should have confirmed, as the taxiway crosses the end of a runway. If the ground had wanted me to avoid the runway, the instructions are usually via north ramp. I am aware this is a training tower but despite this I should have confirmed. This is not a major problem as this taxiway is only used by the people that hanger or tie down at the bottle neck ramp. But I should have confirmed instructions as I know better. It will never happen again.
