Narrative:

Even though wake turbulence was not encountered I felt unduly exposed to the potential hazard when still IMC and following the profile due to the left to right crosswind carrying their wake toward us. The briefing page stresses making the steep descent gradient and doing so keeps you in a potentially hazardous position. If the lead aircraft were above the runway 28L glide path the threat is increased. I thought that a heavy would not be the lead aircraft during simultaneous procedure.
