Narrative:
While on janesville 4 arrival to ord, crew was discussing runway to land on with high wind conditions, MEL problems, ie, anti-skid. We misread the low altimeter setting and varied 900 ft from assigned altitude. ATC advised us of problem and we reset our altimeters and climbed to 14000 ft. No further action occurred.
