Narrative:
First, what happened was a miscom to ATC on approach of my intentions of full-stop or touch-and-go. ATC thought I was full-stop because that is what I told ATC. But, I had told approach I was inbound for pattern work. The miscom was caused by my inconsistency over the radio. Ultimately, I did a touch-and-go instead of a (cleared for) full stop. In the future I need to be more clear and consistent over the radio.
