Narrative:

We were cleared for runway 34 and changed to runway 16. The WX was clear but very turbulent. The captain was using the radio and I, the first officer, was flying the aircraft. We were close in when we were switched to runway 16. The captain was told 'you are #1 for runway 16, call tower on tower frequency.' I was busy with the aircraft: flaps, gear, flaps, speeds high and before landing checklist. The captain failed to call the tower and get the landing clearance. I did not realize this until we taxied clear of runway 16 and I saw the frequency was still on approach with the tower frequency in standby. I called the tower and they said 'taxi to the ramp.' this situation occurred because the captain was not aware of his communication responsibilities. I have flown with this captain for several trips and he constantly misses radio calls and clrncs. He seems to be elsewhere in his thought process. After this incident I feel I must aviate, communication and navigation as if I were alone in the cockpit.

Title: UNAUTH LNDG WITHOUT CLRNC. CLRNC LNDG NOT RECEIVED. INADEQUATE COCKPIT COORD RPTED.

Narrative: WE WERE CLRED FOR RWY 34 AND CHANGED TO RWY 16. THE WX WAS CLR BUT VERY TURBULENT. THE CAPT WAS USING THE RADIO AND I, THE FO, WAS FLYING THE ACFT. WE WERE CLOSE IN WHEN WE WERE SWITCHED TO RWY 16. THE CAPT WAS TOLD 'YOU ARE #1 FOR RWY 16, CALL TWR ON TWR FREQ.' I WAS BUSY WITH THE ACFT: FLAPS, GEAR, FLAPS, SPDS HIGH AND BEFORE LNDG CHKLIST. THE CAPT FAILED TO CALL THE TWR AND GET THE LNDG CLRNC. I DID NOT REALIZE THIS UNTIL WE TAXIED CLR OF RWY 16 AND I SAW THE FREQ WAS STILL ON APCH WITH THE TWR FREQ IN STANDBY. I CALLED THE TWR AND THEY SAID 'TAXI TO THE RAMP.' THIS SIT OCCURRED BECAUSE THE CAPT WAS NOT AWARE OF HIS COM RESPONSIBILITIES. I HAVE FLOWN WITH THIS CAPT FOR SEVERAL TRIPS AND HE CONSTANTLY MISSES RADIO CALLS AND CLRNCS. HE SEEMS TO BE ELSEWHERE IN HIS THOUGHT PROCESS. AFTER THIS INCIDENT I FEEL I MUST AVIATE, COM AND NAV AS IF I WERE ALONE IN THE COCKPIT.
