Narrative:
Air carrier X during the landing rollout on runway 17 at A20, we were instructed by the tower to, 'turn right, taxi on alpha and stay with me.' the first officer read back 'right on alpha, stay with you.' we taxied on alpha toward the ramp. As we crossed runway 23, the tower controller asked us if we see the aircraft off our right. We then looked right again and saw a single engine aircraft down the runway a few thousand ft, about 100 ft in the air. We replied that yes, we do see the aircraft. The controller then informed us that he had instructed us to hold short of runway 23. We told him that we understood that we were cleared to the ramp with him. He then told us to contact the tower after we stopped at the gate. I called the tower and explained that we did not receive the hold short clearance, and that we read back no such clearance. He said that they would play the tapes and I was to call him back. I called when I arrived back in pit. He said that he played the tape and he did indeed tell us to hold short, but our reply was completely unreadable. He never asked us to verify the clearance, therefore we did not get the hold short clearance and crossed runway 23.

Title: ACR X RWY INCURSION HAD LTSS FROM ACFT Y TKOF.
Narrative: ACR X DURING THE LNDG ROLLOUT ON RWY 17 AT A20, WE WERE INSTRUCTED BY THE TWR TO, 'TURN R, TAXI ON ALPHA AND STAY WITH ME.' THE FO READ BACK 'R ON ALPHA, STAY WITH YOU.' WE TAXIED ON ALPHA TOWARD THE RAMP. AS WE CROSSED RWY 23, THE TWR CTLR ASKED US IF WE SEE THE ACFT OFF OUR R. WE THEN LOOKED R AGAIN AND SAW A SINGLE ENG ACFT DOWN THE RWY A FEW THOUSAND FT, ABOUT 100 FT IN THE AIR. WE REPLIED THAT YES, WE DO SEE THE ACFT. THE CTLR THEN INFORMED US THAT HE HAD INSTRUCTED US TO HOLD SHORT OF RWY 23. WE TOLD HIM THAT WE UNDERSTOOD THAT WE WERE CLRED TO THE RAMP WITH HIM. HE THEN TOLD US TO CONTACT THE TWR AFTER WE STOPPED AT THE GATE. I CALLED THE TWR AND EXPLAINED THAT WE DID NOT RECEIVE THE HOLD SHORT CLRNC, AND THAT WE READ BACK NO SUCH CLRNC. HE NEVER ASKED US TO VERIFY THE CLRNC, THEREFORE WE DID NOT GET THE HOLD SHORT CLRNC AND CROSSED RWY 23.
