Narrative:
The aircraft was ready to pushback from the gate at sat, and a ramp person noticed a hole in the aircraft. The hole was located on aircraft's left between the forward lavatory service door and top of aircraft. The flight was canceled and the aircraft was turned over to maintenance.

Title: MD-80 HAS HOLE IN SKIN WHEN READY FOR DEP FROM GATE.
Narrative: THE ACFT WAS READY TO PUSHBACK FROM THE GATE AT SAT, AND A RAMP PERSON NOTICED A HOLE IN THE ACFT. THE HOLE WAS LOCATED ON ACFT'S L BTWN THE FORWARD LAVATORY SVC DOOR AND TOP OF ACFT. THE FLT WAS CANCELED AND THE ACFT WAS TURNED OVER TO MAINT.
