Narrative:
Approach control training in progress. Cleared our flight for approach to runway 28R pit. Flight crew told to keep speed up. Backgnd noise from approach control. Landing directly into the sun and slowing aircraft, doing checklists, 'verbatim' and other cockpit duties. Flight crew was either not told to switch to tower from approach or missed the call. Landed without incident and contacted the tower exiting runway. Crew called tower by telephone. Tower said no problem, but to be more diligent in the future.
