Possible altitude deviation -- climbing to FL240. Both first officer and flight engineer (brand new) on first flight, first officer flying aircraft. First officer overshot altitude by 300 ft. Captain took over control and leveled aircraft at FL240. Crew fatigue very high -- multi-leg and multi-night flying.
